KMS-7000 Cutlery Polishing Machine

Cutlery coming out of a dishwasher is not ready for service: it carries water drops, limescale marks and streaks. Doing that step by hand means one or two staff spending hours a day between a cloth and a pile of cutlery. The KMS-7000 cutlery polishing machine takes the job over, drying and polishing washed knives, forks and spoons at an average of 7,000 pieces an hour and sending them to service hygienic and ready. The KMS-7000 is the standard model, designed for businesses where it will work inside the dishroom. Hotels, restaurants, hospital and school canteens, factory kitchens and catering companies are the operations that most often dry cutlery where it is washed. The principle is simple and needs no chemicals. Inside the machine, plant-based, entirely natural corn-cob granules are kept warm by a 500 W heating element. As wet cutlery moves through them it leaves its moisture in the granules, and the friction polishes the surface. With no abrasive brush and no detergent, cutlery is not scratched, and no lint or fibres from a drying cloth end up on it.

For hygiene the machine carries an 8 W UV-C germicidal lamp. According to the KMS catalogue, the UV lamp sterilises both the granules and the cutlery in the machine and ensures 99% hygiene. Because drying, polishing and sterilising happen in one pass, cutlery can go from the machine straight to service. At 7,000 pieces an hour, buffets and banquets do not run short of cutlery.

The KMS-7000 runs on 220 V 50 Hz, measures 82 × 60 × 60 cm and weighs 60 kg, with a body of 304 grade stainless steel. It is manufactured in Türkiye by KMS, carries a 2-year warranty and is CE documented.
