Description

Water spots on a fork, spoon or knife are one of those details that quietly damage how a restaurant is seen. The KMS-7000-S silent cutlery polisher takes cutlery straight from the dishwasher, wet and streaked, and dries, polishes and sanitises it with UV-C light without anyone touching it. It replaces hours of hand polishing and is built for high-volume hotels, restaurants, banqueting venues and catering companies.

In most businesses the cutlery polisher sits right next to the service area, and the noise it makes is noise your guests hear. That is what sets the 7000-S apart from the standard model: its sound-insulated body delivers the same 7,000 pieces an hour at a level you can site in an open kitchen, at a service station or in a visible corner of the dining room. If the dishroom has no space, or cutlery is dried where it is served, the 7000-S is the model to choose.

The machine works on natural granules. Plant-based, entirely natural corn-cob granules are kept warm by a 500 W heating element; wet cutlery passes through them, the moisture moves into the granules and the friction polishes the surface. There are no harsh chemicals and no abrasive brushes, so cutlery comes out shining without scratches. The lint, fibres and bacteria that a drying cloth leaves behind are gone too. All your staff have to do is load washed cutlery into the machine and take dry, polished cutlery back to service; nobody spends a shift polishing by hand any more.

For hygiene, the machine carries an 8 W UV-C germicidal lamp. According to the KMS catalogue, the UV lamp sterilises both the granules and the cutlery in the machine and ensures 99% hygiene. With 7,000 pieces an hour, even the busiest service — weddings, conferences, open buffets — never runs out of cutlery, and the same stock of cutlery goes round more times.

Technically, the 7000-S runs on 220 V 50 Hz, measures 82 × 60 × 60 cm and weighs 60 kg, with an outer body of 304 grade stainless steel. It is manufactured in Türkiye by KMS, carries a 2-year warranty and is CE documented. Its consumable, the drying and polishing granules, ships in 25 kg lots and can go out the same day. Frequently Asked Questions

Does a cutlery polisher scratch knives and forks?

No. The machine uses no harsh chemicals and no brushes, only drying granules made from 100% natural corn cob. The granules take the moisture off and polish the cutlery without scratching it.

What does the UV-C lamp do?

The 8 W UV-C germicidal lamp exposes the warm granules and the cutlery passing through them to ultraviolet light. According to the KMS catalogue, this sterilises the granules and the cutlery and ensures 99% hygiene.

How often should the granules be replaced?

It depends on how much cutlery you dry each day. For best performance we recommend replacing the granules roughly every 1.5 to 2 months. Orders of the 25 kg granules can ship the same day.

How does the KMS-7000-S differ from the KMS-7000?

Capacity, heating element, UV-C lamp, dimensions and weight are the same: 7,000 pieces an hour, 500 W, 8 W, 82 × 60 × 60 cm, 60 kg. The difference is the body: the 7000-S is sound-insulated and can stand in the service area. If the machine will live in the dishroom, away from guests, the KMS-7000 does the same job for less.
